ADEY GOJO IS YOUR PLACE FOR AUTHENTIC ETHIOPIAN FOOD AND COFFEE.

MY NAME IS TIRHAS AND EVER SINCE I WAS A LITTLE GIRL GROWING UP IN ETHIOPIA I KNEW THAT I WANTED TO INFLUENCE THE WORLD THROUGH MY CULTURE. THAT’S WHERE COFFEE AND FOOD COME IN.

COFFEE ORIGINATED IN ETHIOPIA AND IT’S ALWAYS BEEN A PART OF MY LIFE, SO WHEN MY MOTHER TAUGHT HOW TO COOK, IT WAS ONLY NATURAL THAT I COMBINED THE TWO TO LIVE OUT MY DREAM OF SHARING OUR CULTURE WITH THE WORLD.

IT’S THROUGH THOSE LESSONS THAT I LEARNED THE TRUE MEANING OF FAMILY AND THE POWERFUL ROLE FOOD PLAYS IN ALL OF OUR LIVES. IT’S HOW WE KEEP OUR COMMUNITIES STRONG AND IT’S HOW I PLAN TO GIVE BACK.

THAT’S WHY I BUILT ADEY GOJO (MEANING MOTHER’S HOME) IN MY NATIVE LANGUAGE. WITH OUR AUTHENTIC ETHIOPIAN CUISINE AND COFFEE, ANYONE AROUND THE WORLD CAN ENJOY THE FOOD THAT HAS SURVIVED MANY GENERATIONS AND CONTINUES TO DO SO TODAY.

REVIEWS —

It’s hard to find habesha food that tastes like mama used to make it. Tirhas takes special care to make sure that her food is rich and flavorful without being too heavy. One of my favorite dishes is her fasolia. I’m actually salivating thinking about it. One of my favorites for Ethiopian in the city, hands down.

Our group had a beautiful meal prepared by Tirhas. Flavorful and vibrant dishes that are also wholesome and grounding, each one scooped up with pieces of injera. She seems to glow while she’s cooking, and while you’re eating, which is a testament in itself to her love for sharing her food and traditions. Friends who heard about my experience at that evening’s dinner were immediately intrigued by her menu, as well as the coffee ceremony. Tirhas’ company could easily introduce people to an experience with Ethiopian food that they would never get in a restaurant.
